The Lynchburg City Family Violence Fatality Review Team released its initial report of findings and recommendations for system improvement to the general public at a press conference on April 28, 2006. This team is composed of representatives from the criminal justice, social service, and healthcare community, who meet on an ongoing basis to review and discuss instances of fatal family violence on an interagency level. The teamís purpose is to create a body of information which can be shared, analyzed, and disseminated among participating members in order to promote a more proactive response to instances of family violence in Lynchburg.
